Question:

From Tucson, Arizona, USA:

I have been using Humalog for as long as it has been available but my doctor put me on Regular again. My glyco is in space again. Is this Okay?

Answer:

Without knowing all of your circumstances and your glycohemoglobin level, it sounds like your physician is making a change to try to keep your blood sugar levels lower for a longer period of time. As you probably know, Regular lasts a little longer than Humalog and this change may help.
