Question:

From Ohio, USA:

I had an elevated sugar level on my one hour non-fasting test. If I find out on my fasting test that I do have Gestational Diabetes, will this effect my ability to breastfeed my son after he is born?

Answer:

Breast feeding should not be problem with a href="/dictionary/g.htm#Gestational Diabetes">gestational diabetes. In fact, I encourage it.
