Question:

From Texas, USA:

What are the symptoms of kidney problems associated with type 2 diabetes in a senior citizen?

Answer:

Usually there are no syptoms of diabetic kidney disease (also called diabetic nephropathy) in people with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes at any age. Therefore, your doctor will have to check lab tests, like the microalbumin level in your urine, to get hints of the onset of diabetic kidney disease.

See How to Protect your Kidneys for more information.
