Can diabetics eat sugar substitutes?


Yes. Sugar substitutes vary in taste and use. It is wise to use a variety of them and to use them in moderation.

Sweeteners based on sugar alcohols should be used with more caution since excessive use of these sweeteners can cause diarrhea.
