I understand that diabetes is partially hereditary and partially environmental. Can you tell me what the environmental factors are? What, if anything, can I do now?


You can't do anything. We don't know what the environmental factors are but candidates include viral infection, cow's milk and nitrites in water. Nothing is proven and therefore it would be wrong to make any dramatic lifestyle changes.
