Question:

From Virginia, USA:

I have a newly diagnosed 10 year old son. He is looking for some "freebie" foods that he can have in between meals. One of the hospital staff told us light whipped cream and sugar free jello, or small amounts of peanuts. Do you have other suggestions? He feels limited right now -- understandably.

Answer:

Fresh veggies are basically considered freebies, as are diet sodas, etc. You might want to look through the booklet, Joy of Snacks, for more ideas.
