Question:

From Dallas, Texas, USA:

Do children under 5, diagnosed with diabetes, present symptoms of hyperactivity or are these two separate issues?

Answer:

There is no biological connection between hyperactivity, meaning ADD or Attention Deficit Disorder, and any form of diabetes. Observers sometimes confuse behaviour in ADD with hypoglycemia, which is an occasional manifestation of prediabetes.
