Question:

From Miami Florida, USA:

What is considered too low for a blood sugar reading?

Answer:

This is a difficult question to be addressed through an e-mail. We docs have had lots of opportunities to sit in on discussions of this problem and never reached a satisfactory answer. You can also read a lot about hypoglycemia on this website.

To be short, any blood sugar reading below 50 mg/dl is too low (in my opinion).
