Question:

From Houston, Texas, USA:

I am 13 years old and always feeling tired, sad, thirsty and hungry. I have been doing research on diabetes and found out my family has a history of Type 1 diabetes. Should I ask my mother to take me in to the doctor or should I just see if anything happens?

Answer:

I think it would be a very good idea to ask your mom to take you to the doctor. He/she could easily check you for diabetes and talk to you about why you are feeling tired and sad.
