From Florida, USA:

My 15 year old son was diagnosed Type 1 three months ago. He complains of tingling in his extremities, also leg cramps. Could there be a connection? We have had good control.

Answer:

I don't think the symptoms are related to the diabetes just recently diagnosed. You would be better letting your son's doctor or nurse know about the symptoms, so they can look into it further.
