Question:

From Great Britain:

Are insulin pumps available in Britain?

Answer:

Yes, insulin pumps are available in the UK but only through a very limited number of centres. These centres provide support for pump use but the biggest issue in the UK is funding. The NHS has no policy of supporting insulin pumps but I expect that this will change gradually. Pumps cost approximately £2000 and running costs (tubing, etc.) are around £800 per annum.
