Question: From Davison, Michigan, USA:
Our two-year old grandson was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and has suffered a stroke severely affecting the right side of his body. Is there a "best" therapeutic device to improve the use of his arm and hand?
Answer:
I would suggest the parents review this with the child's physician. The best resource I've found for equipment to deal with these particular disabilities is a good pediatric occupational and physical therapist -- the pediatrician can direct them to the appropriate resources.
