Question:

From Gig Harbor, Washington, USA:

My daughter has type 1, and she tested my blood sugar for the heck of it after I went running and it was 31 mg/dl [1.7 mmol/L]. Is it normal to occasionally have a low blood sugar if you do not have diabetes?

Answer:

That is indeed abnormal and should be reviewed with your physician.
