From Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA:

The company Gero Vita International in Toronto, Canada sells a pill called Vanex for blood sugar imbalances. They claim it is "100% natural", and it helps to "protect your body from the ravages of blood sugar problems while dramatically alleviating their complications." I would like to know how reputable this company is and how well their claims stand for this nutritional supplement.

Gero Vita is a company on whom the Food and Drug Administration currently has an import alert [See IA #66-41 - 9/28/00 Revision of import alert #66-41 Unapproved new drugs promoted in the U.S. Attachment revised 9/28/00.] From the FDA:

"...Evidence has been provided to FDA which indicates the firm is also promoting and distributing to individuals in the U.S. numerous other drug products (including but not limited to: [list of many drugs] which would be considered unapproved new drugs...."

All in all, don't believe everything you hear or read. If you want to find a drug to cure diabetes, someone in the world will manufacture one and label it as so to sell it to you. Find a reliable physician you trust and go to that person for your advice regarding diabetes.
