Why is a person with diabetic ketoacidosis more susceptible to fungal infections?
Answer:
I'm not sure it is the diabetic ketoacidosis as much as the very high glucoses that usually accompany the DKA. Likewise, when ill and dehydrated and shocky, as frequently accompanies DKA, you are more susceptible.
