Question:

From Valley Center, Kansas, USA:

Does an insulin pen exist that remembers time and dose of insulin? I've been told that the Innovo by Novo Nordisk in Europe does remember the last dose and how long ago it was taken.

Answer:

There is indeed such a pen. It seems to work very well, and the memory function (remembering date and time of last injection) is quite useful.

Additional comments from Dr. Kenneth Robertson:

Yes, this pen is now on the market in Europe. It has an LCD display and the previous dose/time is recorded.
