Question: From Syracuse, New York, USA:
My three month old son's urine has that distinct smell of my five year son's (who has type 1 diabetes). Any reason for alarm?
Answer:
A child's urine can be easily and inexpensively tested for sugar to allay your fears of diabetes. Make sure your physician addresses your concerns.
[Editor's comment: Diabetes cannot be diagnosed from the odor of the urine. WWQ]
