Question:

From Edmonton, Alberta, Canada:

Is there a food guide for people with diabetes that gives serving sizes and amounts? I am looking for something similar to the food period or Canada Food Guide.

Answer:

There are several publications which give guidance for amounts of foods to eat for a serving. Probably the best one is the Exchange lists for Meal Planning published by the American Diabetes Association. The Food Guide Pyramid is also a good guide.
