Question:

From Faridabad-Hry, India:

We have been told in some diabetes awareness programmes in India that patches (similar to transdermal estradiol) would be available. These patches are required to be worn on the thighs or shoulders and could replace the injection. When will these patches, if any, be made available ?

Answer:

There are no current insulin patches, but there are several researchers and pharmaceutical companies working to see if this might be feasible.
