Question:

From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA:

According to the American Diabetes Association, what should the caloric intake be for a 20 year male, weighing 177 pounds? I had a guess it might be 2500 calories.

Answer:

Normally caloric intake is calculated with height, age, weight and activity. 2500 might not be a bad estimate, but I cannot say that without knowing the other parameters.
