Question: From Seymour, Tennessee, USA: I am 27 years old, and I have had diabetes since I was 13 with terrible control, until just recently. What age is too old to have a baby, if you have had poor control of your blood sugars in the past? Answer: There is not a strict age criteria for pregnancy. Poor diabetes control in the past can have implications if you have developed any kidney or eye problems.
