My 13 year old daughter has had diabetes for nine months, and recently, she bleeds when I put the injections in her butt.

Answer:

It probably doesn't matter. Perhaps you should use the long needles. Many adolescent girls need the longer needle. Bleeding means you have passed through a capillary and really is not significant.
