If a label on a jar states "dietetic", is this suitable for diabetics? The two terms are confusing.
The term "dietetic" usually refers to a product being lower in calories and sometimes lower in sugar or carbohydrates. Sometimes, however, calories can be reduced by reducing fat content and replacing some of that fat with additional sugars. So, the best thing to do would be to read the nutrition facts label and analyze the carbohydrate content of the food to determine if it's an appropriate food to include in your meal plan.
