Question: From Columbia, Maryland, USA: A friend my mine has a child with type 1 diabetes and learning disabilities. Are there any publications or websites that address this double problem? Answer: Although it is possible that the two conditions are related, especially through episodes of severe hypoglycemia, I know of no website devoted to both. Indeed, this is very possibly two separate issues, and the care of the child would be best served by getting the best help for both of them.
