Question:

From Middletown, New Jersey, USA:

I was born with hypoglycemia, and by the age of 10, I had grown out of it. The doctors said that my condition was idiopathic. Will I pass this on to my offspring?

Answer:

Not necessarily. Idiopathic hypoglycaemia of childhood is more common in families, but is not a genetic problem.
