Question:

From Marion, Ohio, USA:

How will stem cells be implanted?

Answer:

If you are talking about stem cells that are to become insulin producing cells, they are likely to be implanted directly into the peritoneum or perhaps into the liver by injecting them into the portal vein. However, a very great deal has to be learned about this before it can be a real possibility.
