Question: From Tupelo, Mississippi, USA:
I have been taking Actos [pioglitazone] and Amaryl [glimepiride], and I am ready to become pregnant again so I went to the doctor yesterday, and started my insulin today. I should ovulate sometime in the next few days, and I am concerned because I took the last dose of my pills yesterday. Is it safe to get pregnant now?
Answer:
If you want to make sure all the medication is out of your system, I would suggest waiting for your next cycle to try for conception.
