Question:

From Hyghland, Michigan, USA:

I am 31 years old, have type 2 diabetes which is out of control, and I am experiencing numbness and burning in my feet. I know is common with neuropathy, but I also have blotchy discoloration (it sort of looks like small ruptured blood vessels). Could this indeed be neuropathy?

Answer:

The symptoms sound like they could be from diabetic neuropathy. However, I cannot comment on the cause of the skin findings without seeing them.
