Question:

From New Jersey, USA:

My son's kindergarten school nurse had told us that my son cannot take his glucose testing kit inside his classroom. Is this right?

Answer:

In my opinion, no, but there is no law that says glucose testing equipment needs to be allowed in the classroom. The school does have to provide for blood glucose testing, however. I would seek further help from your son's diabetes team and your local American Diabetes Association affiliate.
