Question: From Merced, California, USA:
My 15 year old son has had diabetes for 11 years, and in the past couple of years, I have noticed a big change in his underarm odor, even though he takes a couple of showers a day. I am wondering now if it has more to do with his diabetes, than just hormones from being a teenager.
Answer:
Diabetes is not associated with this problem. You need to be sure, however that the odor is not from ketones due to insufficient insulin.
