Question:

From McCordsville, Indiana, USA:

I was diagnosed with diabetic reacttive hypoglycemia when I was 30 (I am now 54). An acquaintance told me she has type 2 diabetes which is the same as hypoglycemia. Is that true?

Answer:

Hypoglycemia simply means low blood sugar (from whatever reason). Type 2 diabetes is an entirely separate disease. You can read more about both at: Diabetes Basics at this website.
