Question:

From Maltby, Rotherham S, Yorkshire, England:

My 11 year old son, who has type 1 diabetes, is getting bullied at school. Could being punched in the tummy, damage the pancreas any more than it is?

Answer:

I'm sorry to hear about your son being bullied, but I can reassure you that your fears are unfounded. I assume, however, that you are taking steps with the school to deal with the bullying.
