Question:

From San Angelo, Texas, USA:

I have had diabetes for a while, but I am just now beginning to understand the very important parts of it. I was just wondering if there was any information that you can give me about diabetic ketoacidosis. I am really interested in finding out what it really is and how I may prevent it early.

Answer:

See Hyperglycemia for detailed information about diabetic ketoacidosis. There are multiple links at the bottom of that page that contain very detailed information about DKA.
