Question:

From Clinton, Iowa, USA:

What foods are low in fructose?

Answer:

Fructose is a type of sugar. Fructose is found in fruit mainly but also can be found in a lot of foods as fructose based sweeteners. Look at the ingredient listing to determine if a particular food is low in fructose, or higher in fructose. If you're looking at low fructose foods with regards to blood sugar control, I would recommend that you focus more on total carbohydrate as opposed to types of carbohydrate (sucrose vs. fructose).
