Question:

From Longview, Washington, USA:

My 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes seven months ago, and I am a firm believer in vitamins, but I am just not sure what is right for her. What vitamin supplements, if any, can I give her to help her body out as she grows up to hopefully minimize some problems with heart, kidneys, circulation, eyesight, etc.?

Answer:

I am a firm believer in clinical trials to be sure things are safe and effective, so I recommend the RDA for vitamins for children and no more.
