Question:

From Venice, Florida, USA:

My 14 year old sister, who has had type 1 diabetes for almost three years, is moody and has a big temper. Could this have anything to do with diabetes?

Answer:

At 14, moodiness may be just adolescent normal behavior. However, it is tough to assess in cyberspace. Blood sugar fluctuations can cause mood changes too! Does your sister have anyone she can really trust and talk to about her feelings?
