Question: From Halifax, Canada:
My three and a half year old daughter was in DKA [diabetic ketoacidosis] a month ago, and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She currently is on one shot of NPH in the morning, but she started on three injections. Would this be the honeymoon stage?
Answer:
This does sounds like a honeymoon phase of typical diabetes in someone who was very sick at diagnosis.
