Question:

From San Raphael, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies:

I've decided to research on children with diabetes for a staff member, and I'm seeing information about an insulin pump. I've searched but cannot find a definition for an insulin pump. What exactly is it? Does it replace the use of syringes? How large is it? Does it have to be prescribed by a physician or does a parent just go out and get one?

Answer:

See Insulin Pumps.
