Question: From Crescent City, California, USA:
I developed diabetes recently. I also am having ringing in my ears and loss of hearing which I haven't seen as symptoms of diabetes. Is ringing in the ears with loss of hearing a symptom of diabetes?
Answer:
Loss of hearing is not specific for diabetes. Other medications can cause this (antibiotics specifically) or may occur as a primary disease. I would suggest you speak with someone who has expertise on hearing disorders who can diagnose your problem with hearing.
