Question: From El Paso, Texas, USA:
Can people with diabetes drink coffee?
Answer:
Drinking coffee, in moderation (two to three cups/day) is fine. It does not seem to affect cardiovascular health if drunk in moderation. Keep in mind that things you add to coffee, such as cream or sugar, certainly can have an effect on the level of fat in your blood or your blood glucoses. Also, caffeine is also present in other beverages, like tea and colas. Diet Mountain Dew is also high in caffeine.
