Question:

From St. Paul, Minnesota, USA:

I have type 1 diabetes, and I think some of my fellow workers are prejudiced. What can I do to change that?

Answer:

Addressing the "diabetic prejudice" of your coworkers can best be handled through both education and example. Your active, healthy lifestyle and your desire to manage your diabetes well is a great example in itself.
