Question:

From Hong Kong:

My four year daughter has had type 1 diabetes for less than two years. Could you give me more information about insulin pumps? When is right time to consider using one?

Answer:

There is no "right time" to consider using a pump. They have been used successfully in people of all ages provided that the appropriate supports (for education and on-going management) are available to you. See Insulin Pump Therapy for more information.
