Question:

From Temecula, California, USA:

Are there any adverse effects of taking Spirulina and having diabetes? What's the difference between good vitamin A and bad A?

Answer:

From what I was able to find, Spirulina has been used for weight loss and diabetes, but there are no controlled studies. Information is just anecdotal testimonial information. Furthermore, I was not able to find any problems with its use. Sorry, there is just not much out there regarding this product. Also, I was not able to find anything on "good" vs "bad" Vitamin A.
