Question:

From North Mankato, Minnesota, USA:

My daughter gets the hiccups a lot when her sugars are on the low side. Do they have anything to with each other?

Answer:

I've never heard of this, but the diaphragm is controlled by the autonomic nervous system which is involved in the response to hypoglycemia. So, a connection is not impossible.
