Question:

From Iowa, USA:

I have type 2 diabetes treated with diet (which I have changed) and exercise only. What can I do about the numbness in my legs?

Answer:

First, do you know the numbness is from diabetes? There are many causes of peripheral neuropathy and diabetes may not be one of them.

I would suggest it would be beneficial to see your physician or one with expertise in peripheral neuropathy to determine if another cause, other than diabetes, is causing your numbness.
