Question:

From Cranston, Rhode Island, USA:

My son was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and while sleeping at night, he is soaked with sweat. Is this a sign of low blood sugars? If so, what should we do?

Answer:

Your son's night sweating may or may not be related to hypoglycemia. To determine if they are, I suggest checking some blood sugars during the night.
