Question:

From Johnson City, Tennessee, USA:

I am taking metformin, and I am having trouble losing weight. Even though I am taking metformin, should I still be on a low-carb diet?

Answer:

As far as a low-carb diet, I think the real question is total calories and keeping the fat calories down. You should also be exercising. There is really no magic.
