Question:

I am 10 years old. How many carbohydrates can I have each day? I have four big servings and two snacks.

Answer:

That's a very good question. Since meal planning for people with diabetes is very individualized nowadays, I would recommend that you have your parents take you to see a registered dietitian who specializes in diabetes. They can assist you in formulating a meal plan that meets your caloric needs, your preferences, and optimizes blood sugar control.
