My friend's four year old daughter is curious about my diabetes. She keeps asking if I am still taking the medicine and always wants to see my "bandage". Do you have any advice on getting her to understand it a bit?

Answer:

There's a wonderful, newly-published book called, Can Mom Have a Piece of My Birthday Cake? by Rochelle L. Stern that does an excellent job of explaining diabetes to young children in a storytelling fashion.
