Question: From Harare, Zimbabwe:
My husband, diagnosed with diabetes treated with diet and exercise about a month ago, has a problem with thinning hair that is not growing well. When it grows, it will be flat by the head and he now has just a little. Could diabetes be the cause of this hair problem?
Answer:
Diabetes is probably not the cause. If this remains a concern, I would recommend you see a dermatologist to see if there is some form of treatable cause to the hair loss.
